About our work

Editorial Policy

Qutzl Insights publishes practical technology guidance for small and medium businesses. This policy explains what readers should expect from our articles and how to tell us when we miss the mark.

Who we write for

Our primary audience is the people who choose, operate, or support technology for small and medium businesses: owners, office managers, internal IT staff, and managed service providers. We favor useful decisions, concrete safeguards, and realistic tradeoffs over vendor hype.

Sources and attribution

Product behavior, release details, security advisories, and other factual claims should point to the most direct source available, such as official documentation, vendor release notes, standards bodies, or government advisories. When another publication contributes reporting or analysis, we credit and link to it. A link is context for the reader, not a substitute for our own explanation.

Testing and practical experience

We distinguish hands-on observations from documentation-based guidance and general recommendations. We do not describe a procedure, product, or result as personally tested unless it was actually verified by the author. Technology changes quickly, so readers should test changes in a safe environment and confirm current vendor documentation before applying them to production systems.

Corrections and reader feedback

If you find a factual error, a broken instruction, or an important omission, please contact Qutzl and include the article URL and the detail that needs review. We will assess the report and correct material errors rather than quietly preserving information we know is wrong.

Updates

Articles may be revised when products, risks, or recommended practices change. Substantive revisions should be reflected in the article's updated date. Older publication dates are not a guarantee that every linked product or screen still works the same way, so time-sensitive guidance should always be checked against the linked primary source.

Advertising and commercial relationships

Advertising does not buy favorable coverage or control our conclusions. Advertisements are kept visually distinct from editorial content. Sponsorships, affiliate relationships, free products, or other material relationships that could affect a reader's judgment will be disclosed in the relevant article. Qutzl may also link to its own services when they are relevant; those links do not change the standards applied to the article.

AI-assisted tools

Qutzl uses AI-assisted tools during parts of its research, outlining, drafting, editing, and technical work. Their output is not treated as a reliable source, and AI-suggested steps are not presented as personally tested unless the author actually verifies them. The named author retains responsibility for checking facts, links, recommendations, and the final published article. This site-wide statement applies across Qutzl Insights; when AI assistance is central to a specific article's reporting, analysis, or original assets, the article will include a more specific disclosure.

Responsibility

Michael Narehood, founder of Qutzl LLC, is the named author. Qutzl LLC publishes Qutzl Insights. Editorial questions can be sent through the same contact form used for corrections.
