Wi‑Fi guest networks done right
Separate guests from production without making the lobby password a company secret.
Guest Wi‑Fi should be easy for visitors and useless for reaching file servers.
Baseline
- Separate SSID and VLAN from corporate
- Client isolation on
- Captive portal or rotating PSK if you need accountability
Avoid
- Giving guests the corporate PSK “just for today”
- Bridging IoT, cameras, and guests onto the same flat network
